PPLA COMMITTEES, CHAIRPERSON, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

WATER QUALITY

Chairperson:  Charlie Pater, Secretary

    • Keep abreast of active and planned water quality activities of Lake Project, PPLF and others
    • Interface with PPLA on water quality plans and efforts
    • Generate ideas for water quality projects

NOMINATING

Chairperson:  Kent Walczak, VP

    • Annual officer candidates
    • Develop list of potential future officers and board members

AUDIT/FINANCE

Chairperson:  Jim Fowler

    • Ensure proper procedures for accounting and investments
    • Develop ideas for future revenues
    • Recommend changes to internal accounting and investments

HEALTH & SAFETY

Chairperson:  John Gibson

    • Identify H&S issues and develop proposed actions
    • Oversee PPLA H&S activities

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

Chairperson:  Glen Gianetti

    • Monitor Townships’ proposals and actions that directly affect PPLA property owners
    • Review proposed ordinances and recommend PPLA involvement when considered appropriate
    • Monitor elections and propose PPLA involvement when considered appropriate
    • Identify issues between PPLA and Township(s) and propose actions to resolve them

ACTIVITIES

Chairperson:  Ken Krengel

    • Oversee PPLA activities
    • Develop potential activities
    • Recommend PPLA involvement in community activities

COMMUNICATIONS

Chairperson:  Karen Coleman

    • Oversee PPLA communications
    • Develop and propose new communication methods and actions

 

DEVELOPMENT REVIEW

Chairperson:  John Curtis

    • Review new construction around PPLA for compliance with zoning and building ordinances and regulations
    • Review proposed new/changes to zoning and building ordinances and regulations and propose PPLA action when considered appropriate
